La Quinta Arts Foundation’s Visual Arts Scholarship Program has awarded $1,000,000 to local students pursuing college degrees in the visual arts since the beginning of the program in 1984.

Annual scholarship awards are made possible with proceeds garnered from LQAF events including La Quinta Arts Festival, Art Under the Umbrellas, La Quinta Blues & Brews; La Quinta Arts Foundation memberships; as well as contributions by community partners and other memorial contributions. 

Current Scholarship recipients receive recognition of their progress and talent on LQAF website for new work created, and their accomplishments.  Become a fan and follow LQAF on Facebook, enjoy our fantastic events and support deserving scholarship students in the process.

La Quinta Visual Arts Scholarship program for the 2012-2013 Academic Year are NOW OPEN. Interested students need to complete the following by Friday April 6, 2012:

• Open and print the Application Guidelines and Student Checklist.  Follow the instructions carefully.

• Fill out the Scholarship Application Form, including the Essay, then print and mail or fax to LQAF offices.

• Submit three (3) recommendations from people who know you well and are knowledgeable about your artwork.  At least one of the recommendations should be your current or recent art instructor.  Have them fill out the Recommendation form, then print and mail or fax to LQAF offices.
