Gallery Spotlight: Danny Hughes

MEDIA: MIXED MEDIA/PAINTING

Each Hughes painting is created using old books and pages or maybe pieces of aged wood or rusty metal.  Once the background is complete, the image is hand painted and splashed with resin.

Gallery Spotlight: Grayson Malone

MEDIA: Mixed Media

While Grayson Malone has created both functional and sculptural bodies of work, it has been most important to her that the object be able to stand alone with strictly visual relativity and impact on the viewer as well as the space in which it is viewed.

Gallery Spotlight: Nestor Yulfo

MEDIA:  MIXED MEDIA

Nestor Yulfo’s work embodies the evolution of time and the immense forces of nature. The process and physical act of making art is as important as the outcome.

Gallery Spotlight: Mark Doolittle

MEDIA: WOOD

Doolittle’s style and approach are greatly influenced by an academic background in biology, and derives from the dynamic forms of growth and symmetry encountered in cells and tissues, as well as in whole organisms throughout the natural world.

Gallery Spotlight: Dirk Yuricich

MEDIA:  PHOTOGRAPHY

I’m interested in the experience of the moment of the shot, usually a serendipitous discovery, rather than a calculated hunt for a requisite “must have” shot. All of my compositions are unplanned, as I am moved by the mood, the moment, the light, the joy of discovery.
