LQAF Volunteer Spotlight: Rhonda Larson

LQAF Blog | LQAF News 0 Comment

Since 2009, Rhonda Larson has volunteered for La Quinta Arts Festival.  Utilizing different skill sets, she handles two distinctive duties: Festival Store and the Artist Award Reception. We are delighted to spotlight Rhonda and express our gratitude for her valued support of La Quinta Arts Foundation.

Why do you love being a volunteer?

I am a firm believer in giving back or paying it forward, however you can. I feel art is a form of expression everyone should enjoy, either by creating it or by buying it. La Quinta Arts Foundation provides funds for students to continue that dream. Being a volunteer at the Festival allows me to help them reach those goals.

Could you share your experience volunteering your talents at Festival Store and the Artist Award Reception?

The Festival Store is the spotlight for our Featured Artists and Festival theme. The creative designs chosen for the theme, poster and retail items provide a lasting memory for our patrons.

The Artist Award Reception is a celebration of the Artist Award Winners, and our way to show our appreciation.

How would you describe La Quinta Arts Festival to someone who has never been?

It’s the absolute best art show in the country. Diverse artists, unique artwork, some exclusive to the show, and located on a park setting that totally spotlights the Artists’ creations. It is an event not to be missed each year.

The 37th La Quinta Arts Festival is March 7-10, 2019. Learn more: La Quinta Arts Festival
