LQAF Volunteer Spotlight: Barbara Jamtgaard

LQAF Blog | LQAF News

Originally recruited by her friends to help stuff envelopes in the LQAF offices (there was no email at the time), Barbara discovered she deeply enjoyed the sociability of volunteering. Always enthusiastic and full of energy, she quickly became the Festival’s hospitality chair, sharing her gracious hostess skills with artists, donors, and sponsors. A resourceful shopper, Barbara always ensures there are enough delicious treats on hand and most importantly she makes certain we never run out of coffee.  She is onsite every morning at 7 am with a warm smile making everyone feel welcome, and works a full day, now with her two daughters (the same age as she was when she began volunteering).

She shares, “I love the arts, meeting artists, and coming to California is the highlight of my winter.”  Barbara has loved watching La Quinta Arts Festival evolve over the years and is grateful to be continuing her support.

We are thrilled to celebrate Barbara and cannot thank her enough for her valued support of La Quinta Arts Foundation.
