La Quinta Blues & Brews is excited to add the leader in the craft brew revolution, Goose Island Beer Company to its sixth annual event.
Since 1988, Goose Island has consistently brewed Chicago’s finest hand-crafted ales and lagers. Goose Island began as a single brewpub Clybourn at 1800 Clybourn Avenue in 1988 by John Hall in Lincoln Park, Chicago, Illinois. Today, with the additions of the Fulton Street Brewery and Wrigleyville Brewpub (close to Wrigley Field) Goose Island turns out over 50 craft beers a year.
Goose Island is about to hit the national stage, as it will be Anheuser-Busch’s national craft beer brand as of the end of November, 2012. The move will place the company among the ranks of the relatively few breweries whose craft beers can be bought nationwide.
Goose Island Beer Company will be pouring three
of its finest craft beers at La Quinta Blues & Brews.
Honker’s Ale – Inspired by visits to English country pubs, Honker’s Ale combines a fruity hop aroma with a rich malt middle to create a perfectly balanced beer. Immensely drinkable, Honker’s Ale is not only the beer you can trust but one you’ll look forward to time and again.
India Pale Ale – India Pale Ale recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result is a hop lover’s dream with a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, and long hop finish.
312 Urban Wheat Ale – Inspired by the city of Chicago and densely populated with flavor, 312’s spicy aroma of Cascade hops is followed by a crisp, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body that’s immensely refreshing.
