Meet La Quinta Art Festival’s Featured Artists
These artists are well-respected in their fields, successful and accomplished in their craft, honed through experience, dedication, a creative mind and talent. The La Quinta Arts Festival, ranked number #1 in the Nation, is known for its high caliber of artists and these three artists are no exception.
Teresa Saia – Painting
Seattle, WA ~ Booth #408
Teresa Saia is from Washington State and was chosen as the 2014 Poster Artist for her original pastel entitled “Spring’s Gentle Awakening”– the featured Teresa was awarded the coveted “Best of Show” ribbon at La Quinta Arts Festival 2013 for her collection of mesmerizing pastel paintings — and the art patrons must have agreed with the judges, as she literally sold out her inventory of artwork within the first two days of the show.
Jason Napier ~ Sculptor
Friday Harbor, WA ~ Booth #124
A regal peacock named “His Majesty” is the latest masterpiece in Contemporary Wildlife Sculptor Jason Napier’s famous menagerie of bronze art work.
Incorporating his signature smooth style and unparalleled patinas, Jason captured one of the most ostentatiously adorned creatures on earth in all its glory.
The spectacular sculpture is the focal image of La Quinta Arts Festival’s 2014 marketing campaign declaring that La Quinta Arts Festival is “Proud as a Peacock to be the #1 Fine Art Festival in the Nation.”
John Ha ~ Mixed Media
Garden Grove, CA ~ Booth #221
John Ha is best known for his signature Koi fish mixed media paintings where each fish explores various themes from pop culture to customary Asian symbolism. “My colorful Pop Art is larger than life and inspires good energy,” says Ha from Garden Grove, CA.
It was one of those larger than life pieces that caught the eye of La Quinta Arts Festival staff, leading to his selection as a 2014 Featured Artist. John’s images from his “Legend of the Koi” series will be featured in the 2014 Festival marketing campaign and on promotional items including the men’s t-shirts.
