Artists Rank La Quinta Arts Festival® as the Nation’s No. 1 Fine Art and Design Show in Survey by Sunshine Artist Magazine

LA QUINTA, Calif. (August 16, 2018) — La Quinta Arts Festival continues its extraordinary winning streak, as Sunshine Artist, has named it the No. 1 Fine Art and Design Show in its 26th annual 200 Best Shows issue published in September. This issue releases its readers’ rankings of the nation’s 100 best fine art and design shows plus the 100 best classic and contemporary craft shows. The ranking, based on subscribers’ sales performance, recognizes the most profitable art and craft festivals. Art Fair SourceBook also ranks La Quinta Arts Festival as the No. 1 fine art show and No. 1 fine craft show in the nation.

“We strive to provide participating artists with priority treatment to ensure they feel welcome and supported,” says Christi Salamone, President and CEO of La Quinta Arts Festival and its organizer La Quinta Arts Foundation (LQAF).  “It means so much to receive their endorsement for our efforts”.  The diversity, quality, and expertise of La Quinta Arts Festival artists consistently deliver a first-class show that generates higher average sales per artists than any other show in the country.

Sunshine Artist includes ballots in its April issue. Artists rank up to 10 shows where they grossed the most revenue. The magazine tabulates the results using a weighted scale based on sales to ensure that all events compete fairly. La Quinta Arts Festival claimed the top ranking over fine arts festivals in large markets, including New York, Virginia, Chicago, Florida, and Michigan.

“Making it on the ‘200 Best’ list is one of the highest honors a show can earn in the industry,” says Stephanie Hintz, editor of Sunshine Artist.

Consistently delivering a first-class experience, audiences for La Quinta Arts Festival range from the sophisticated collector to the casual local art patron and tourists who come knowing the juried show is fresh and features the finest artists.

La Quinta Arts Festival’s Artist Advisory Board comprised of award winners, highly experienced exhibitors, and veteran participants of the show act as liaisons to the artist community and provide feedback and advice to continually improve and elevate the show.

The 37th La Quinta Arts Festival is March 7-10, 2019 at the La Quinta Civic Center Campus. It will host 220 contemporary artists from across the country and abroad, exhibiting in every fine art medium. The event also features live entertainment and superb food and drink.

The festival is accepting artist applications through ZAPPlicationTM until the deadline on September 30, 2018.
