I consider my work as Elegant Contemporary Jewelry. To create my art works, I sketch, form, rollerprint the recycled gold and silver with textured papers, hand construct and solder each individual jewelry item combined with hand-selected lustrous pearls, diamonds, and colorful gem stones, into various collections.
Color is very important to my jewelry. I hand select each precious and semi-precious gemstone into a carefully choreographed arrangement. Most of my jewelry items are one-of-a-kind or in a series, that have the ability to stand on their own, a balance of beauty as well as being a functional piece of art.
My jewelry and metal work have won Awards of Excellence, Best of Category, as well as numerous 1st and 2nd place ribbons and has been nominated for ten NICHE Awards, and a NICHE Award win. Some of my signature jewelry pieces are published in several books, including the ‘1000 Rings’, the ‘American Art Collector’, ‘Making Metal Beads’, ‘Art Jewelry Today 2’, ‘500 Gemstone Jewels’, the cover of ‘Showcase 500 Rings’ and a featured article in ‘Jewelry Artist’ Magazine showing my jewelry as work using color with gemstones. Two of my handcrafted metal beads will be published in the upcoming Lark Book, ‘1000 Beads’, a worldwide juried book.
I show and personally sell my jewelry at various juried art and craft shows so I can have the opportunity to meet the clients who will be wearing my work. I also have my collections at a few select galleries throughout the country. I have built a strong clientele that continues to acquire my jewelry at the juried art and craft shows, and commissioning custom designed pieces, inspiring me to keep designing and creating new work for them to see and collect.
Married for 24 years to internationally known painter, Leo Posillico, whom I met when I was an Interior Designer, selling his paintings to my residential and commercial clients. Together we create our various forms of fine art in our studios in Northern California, When not in my jewelry studio, I have been redesigning and remodeling our home and gardens in Santa Rosa, California for our extensive collection of contemporary jewelry, paintings, ceramics, glass, and sculpture.
