Emanuel Maldonado is a famous ceramicist joining us all the way from San Juan de Oriente, a small town in central Nicaragua, known for its high density of talented potters. Emanuel learned the craft at the young age of twelve from his stepfather, Helio Guttierez who had himself learned it from his mother.
It became evident that Emanuel had exceptional talent and indeed, his reputation on an international scale supports this. He has won awards in America, England, Panama and Costa Rica and is recognized as one of the top artists in his region.
