La Quinta Arts Festival and Art Under the Umbrellas artist Tom Thornton received First Place and Second Place for two exquisite jewelry boxes in the ‘Contemporary Woodworking Accessories’ category at the San Diego Fine Woodworkers Association Design in Wood Exhibition on June 12, 2009.

Thornton also swept the ‘Master Accessories Division’ at the Orange County Fair & Event Center, receiving honors for First, Second and Third place.
