Art Under the Umbrellas to Commemorate National Arts and Humanities Month

October is National Arts and Humanities Month – the largest annual celebration for the arts and humanities in the nation. A perfect fit with LQAF’s mission of “Promoting and Cultivating the Arts,” we are proud to announce that the Art Under the Umbrellas event on October 26th is an officially registered event of NAHA 2013.

National Arts and Humanities Month (NAHM)

Organized by Americans for the Arts,  NAHM is a coast-to-coast collective recognition of the importance of culture in America. It is designed to encourage all Americans to explore new facets of the arts and humanities in their lives, and to begin a lifelong habit of active participation in the arts and humanities. In the 20 years since it was established, it has become the nation’s largest collective annual celebration of the arts.

LQAF encourages all of our patrons to actively support National Arts and Humanities Month by attending the season opener of Art Under the Umbrellas on October 26, 2013 at Old Town La Quinta when it will host a diverse collection of 80 talented artists exhibiting their original creations for sale. The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm. Attendees will enjoy free admission, free parking, and free live entertainment.
