Napier Heads to Calgary Stampede

This summer renowned wildlife sculptor Jason Napier (Friday Harbor, WA) and wife Danielle are headed to the legendary Calgary Stampede, celebrating its Centennial Anniversary July 6-15, 2012.  Being accepted to exhibit in Calgary’s Western Showcase Artists’ Studio is a huge honor, as it has a very strict Western themed mission for show acceptance and only 60 artists are invited to participate.  Coincidentally, the Napiers will actually be sharing a booth with another La Quinta Arts Festival alumnus, Guadalupe Apodaca,

Jason Napier is an Artist Advisor, prior poster artist, and Best of Category winner at La Quinta Arts Festival. Jason was also the top selling artist at the 30th Annual event this year and is hoping that Calgary will follow suit, as the show is anticipating a 30% increase in attendance for its big Centennial show. Jason was quick to note that no matter how well he might do in Calgary, La Quinta Arts Festival will always be “Number One.”
