LQAF Awarded Sam’s Club Foundation Grant

La Quinta, CA – Sam’s Club Foundation, has presented La Quinta Arts Foundation, (LQAF), a $1,000 Community Grant, it was announced today by LQAF Executive Director Christi Salamone. Sam’s Club charities are nominated by store employees, and in this case Dorothy Bisbano, Business Manager at the La Quinta Sam’s Club championed the request.

“We are most grateful to be the recipient of this donation from Sam’s Club,” said Salamone. “We very much appreciate their continued partnership and participation in our community activities.”

Sam’s Club is a division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., (NYSE:WMT). The first Sam’s Club opened its doors in Midwest City, Okla., in 1983. La Quinta Arts Foundation is a non-profit, established in 1982 with a mission of Promoting and Cultivating the Arts. LQAF produces the nationally acclaimed La Quinta Arts Festival, Art Under the Umbrellas and Blues, Brews and BBQ; brings art education to local elementary schools and has awarded visual art college scholarships totaling $844,802.
