Jewelry Artists Take “BLING” To Another Level!

La Quinta Arts Festival is a favorite of visitors to the Coachella Valley, many of whom plan their annual return specifically around the dates of the show. And, for those long-distance travelers who absolutely must have that 24×36 painting, sculpture, glass, ceramic piece – but do not want the hassle of carrying it on the airplane, on-site shipping is available.

However, the most compact and transportable treasures available at the Festival are those for self-adornment – and as you will see this year, not just for the ladies!  Jewelry is always a favorite at the show.  Why own a piece made in multiples of thousands when you can show-off a unique creation designed just for you!

Here are just three of the twenty-two inspired gemologists/silver and goldsmiths you will see at La Quinta Arts Festival:

Adam Neeley Men's Collezoni

Adam Neeley – Now 25, Neeley has been handcrafting art jewelry for 13 years.  His passion for jewelry and gemstones stems from his early childhood interest in rock collecting.  Starting at 12, Adam began to teach himself the rudiments of gemstone cutting and metalsmithing. Now the designer/goldsmith holds advanced gemology degrees and is the recipient of numerous awards touting his unusual works.  The Colorado native says ideas for his unique art –inspired pieces often come to him from his dreams.  “For me, it all pops out of the subconscious mind…I did all that studying so I could mechanically make anything that I could dream.”

Neeley will debut his first jewelry collection for men, “The Men’s Collezoni,” an architecturally inspired collection, featuring clean, bold lines in gold and silver.  Rare gemstones such as black and white diamonds are showcased, along with royal blue sapphires and Madeira colored spessartite garnets. These are one-of-a-kind statement pieces…wearable art for those looking for something unique and unforgettable.  See Neeley at Booth # 535

ISABELLE POSILLICO – Recently featured in Jewelry Artist Magazine, Isabelle Posillico is an Award-Winning Jeweler and Metalsmith.  Isabelle considers her artwork as “Elegant Contemporary Jewelry & Metal.” She designs, creates, roller prints, forms, constructs, and solders each individual piece she makes in her one-person studio.

For Isabelle, it is important that the jewelry pieces are wearable, yet fun and elegant. Each piece is a stand alone design, attracting its owner not only to the idea of the accessory, but to the work of art she will be wearing.

Her newly created metal line includes whimsical decadent tableware pieces made in sterling silver and some with touches of gold and larger more sculptural pieces in lead-free pewter. This new direction in her work has proven to be a challenge and rewarding change of pace.  Meet Isabelle in Booth # 539
