The Civic Center Campus is a stunning
location as the lush grass undulates gracefully and can showcase your work dramatically. It is not your typical flat field where each Artist has a 10x10' box lined up in rows. However Artists need to come prepared with shims and a flexible attitude. Take advantage of the unique features of this gorgeous property and be creative with your display. Some Artists have created incredible booths using no canopies but only pedestals. Others have used traditional pop-up canopies, but have elected to spread their work out by requesting a larger booth.

The benefit of our Festival site is that it not only provides
a traditional 12'x12' booth space, but it also provides non-traditional booth spaces that are unusually shaped, have undulations or even hills, and/or have trees and stones throughout. The sizes of our booths also vary dramatically. When an Artist is confirmed into the event and the time comes for you to fill out your booth request form, we encourage you to think “ out of the box.” We have provided images of the most attractive booths in our 2007 Festival. Each of these Artists took full advantage of their booth space and had professional booths that were appealing to the eye and not cluttered. Some of them are the traditional 12'x12' size, some are larger.

In the jury process for La Quinta Arts Festival
, the booth display image is critical for your confirmation into Festival. If the booth is cluttered, has art on the floor, appears to have storage behind the booth covered with a tarp; it will lose at least one point. The question that I always ask the jury is, “Would you like to be next to this individual?” The difference of one point can determine whether or not you are confirmed into our event. The difference in scores can be miniscule.

Please look at the booth images carefully
, as these are excellent examples of aesthetically pleasing booths that entice the consumer to walk in and browse. Is your booth an asset or a hindrance to your art? If you did not think that a booth display could affect your sales, just look at these images and you will change your mind!
