La Quinta Arts Foundation is pleased to announce the 2013 La Quinta Arts Festival Award Winners.  On Thursday, March 7th, opening day of the 31st La Quinta Arts Festival,  thirty-three expert judges for each art media category viewed and scored the 230 participating artists.  The awards were announced and presented at the La Quinta Arts Festival Award Reception Thursday evening.

In attendance to present the awards were California State Assembly 56th District Representative Manuel Perez, City of La Quinta Mayor Pro Tem Kristy Franklin, and Council Members Terry Henderson and Lee Osborne.

The Best of Show Award was presented in the category of Drawing & Pastel to Teresa Saia, (booth # 408) from Seattle, WA.

The City of La Quinta Civic Purchase Award was presented to Photographer Mark Stephenson, Sky Valley, CA for his piece “Golden Cattails”.

La Quinta Arts Festival runs through Sunday, March 10th.  Tickets available at the gate, or on-line www.LQAF.com are $12 single day adult admission, or $15 multi day pass, children under 12 are free.
