Award winning ceramicists Hasuyo Miller and Robert Farmer will be Featured Artists at Art Under the Umbrellas on November 30th.

Award winning ceramicists Hasuyo Miller and Robert Farmer (Temecula, Calif.) have been telling stories through clay for years.

Whether it be porcelain, white stoneware or raku bodies, their one of a kind ceramic sculptures — from clay village houses, to teapots in the form of boats, rabbits and other fantasy animals – “are a constant play and interaction of ideas, color, texture and one thought leading to another,” says Hasuyo.

Miller--George

Hasuyo was most excited to announce that “George,” one of her most charming ceramic characters, has been selected by Lark Books to be published in their “500 Figures” book that will be released in the spring of 2014.

Miller & Farmer received the Best of Category Award in Ceramics at La Quinta Arts Festival 2013, and will be returning to the 2014 show March 6-10. Meanwhile, look for them as Featured Artists at Art Under the Umbrellas on November 30th and again January 11, and February 15, 2014.
