Tanya Doskova is a Bulgarian-born artist living in Vancouver, BC. She holds a Master of Arts degree in printmaking. In 1990, Tanya moved from Sofia (Bulgaria) to London, UK, where she was featured in three solo exhibitions in Soho and had her work presented in more than 20 group exhibitions.

In 1995, Tanya won the John Purcell Prize for best lithography (London, UK). The following year her artwork won the Cannon Canada Gold and the Cannon Canada Merit Awards from the Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators (CAPIC).

In 1997, Tanya won three other major Canadian awards, including the Adobe Systems Gold Award, the Cannon Canada Bronze Award, and the Readers Digest Merit Award for Editorial Illustration.

From 1998 until 2002 she did computer animation and special effects for the film industry. Tanya worked in U2 and Ridley Scott’s post- production house, The Mill, and also in Jim Henson’s Creature Shop in London UK creating special effects for the Hollywood motion pictures: ‘Enemy of the State’, ‘Babe 2′, and ‘Pitch Black’.
