Marie Barbera

I identify strongly with the Native American culture.  In my art, I try to create and relate to you, the history of beauty and strength of the Native American Nation.

I was raised on the East Coast with art around me. My father and brother were Gothic Restoration Artisans. 

 My interest gravitated to the Native American subject in the 80′s, first as paintings, until I discovered the love of three dimensional sculpture.  My work is traditional in process, but unique in patina.  Color chemical brings warmth and life to the bronze.

I have many life size commissions installed across the country in the private sector and public locations.
