2014 La Quinta Arts Festival Artists Invited

(La Quinta, CA – November 14, 2013)  The #1 in the Nation ranked La Quinta Arts Festival announces artist invitations to the March 6-9, 2014 Festival.   La Quinta Arts Foundation (LQAF), producers of the fine art festival received a record number of 1,100 applicants from across the country vying for the coveted 230 exhibition spots. 

The Festival exhibitors were selected through the competitive Zapplication (ZAPP®) online artist application and jury process by which the artists have their profiles and images accessed in a consistent digital format.  

La Quinta Arts Festival utilizes one of the most progressive jury systems being used today, customized to employ the collective knowledge of 45 art experts (five jurors per art category) from across the nation to evaluate the applicants.

The Festival jurors are comprised of art educators, museum curators, art critics and authors, award winning peer artists, gallery owners, and art publication authoritiesEach year, new jurors keep La Quinta Arts Festival fresh and evolving with top artists and an appropriate percentage of new first-time talent. 

For the 2014 jury process, 234 invited artists were selected from 1,113 applications received between June 1 and October 15, 2013, reflecting a 20% increase in applicants from last year’s application process. 

The invited artists hail from 36 States, Canada (2), Israel, and Nicaragua (2) and 51 are new artists to the Festival, showing their work in the Coachella Valley for the first time.

Artist categories include Ceramics, Drawing & Pastel, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture and Wood.

The 32nd La Quinta Arts Festival will be March 6-9, 2014 at La Quinta Civic Center Park, 78495 Calle Tampico, La Quinta, 10am to 5pm, featuring 234 fine artists exhibiting original fine art, live music, performance art, food, wine and spirits to complement your experience.
